A woman in Florida has filed a lawsuit, alleging that she and her daughter ate SpaghettiOs that she claims contained live worms.

Mary Hubbard, of Okeechobee County, Florida, along with Greg Lovell, the girl’s father, filed the lawsuit against the Campbell’s Company and Walmart on Tuesday, according to NBC News.

The woman claimed she discovered the contamination while eating the canned pasta at their Florida home around June 6, 2024. According to the complaint, she recorded videos that “clearly depict worm-like organisms moving within the food product,” Reuters reported.

Hubbard said that she purchased the food product from Walmart, and that she and her daughter developed parasitic infections and other medical complications from the alleged contamination. Hubbard and Lovell are seeking at least $75,000 in unspecified damages.

Campbell’s said it believes the claims lack merit and it will defend itself against them.

Meanwhile, a Walmart spokesperson said the company prioritizes health and safety and is reviewing the court filing.

“The health and safety of our customers is a top priority. We are reviewing the complaint and will respond appropriately to the court,” Walmart told NBC News in a statement.

CNN contributed to this report.
