BEATRICE FALLS CITY 7 TO 11 A.M. THIS IS WHERE THE BEST POTENTIAL FOR THOSE SOUTH WINDS GUSTING 40 PLUS MILES PER HOUR. COLD FRONT COMES THROUGH. AND THEN THIS AFTERNOON. EVENING. BEST POTENTIAL FOR 40 PLUS MILE PER HOUR GUSTS NORTHWEST OF METRO COLUMBUS. WEST POINT. TEKAMAH. THE NORFOLK AREA AND THE I-80 CORRIDOR. NO ADVISORIES RIGHT NOW, BUT THROUGHOUT THE DAY WE COULD SEE THOSE GUSTS 30 TO 40MPH AT TIMES. SO OUT OF THE SOUTH THIS MORNING, MID MORNING, THAT FRONT COMES THROUGH AND YOU CAN SEE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING 30 TO 40MPH. SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN. OPTIMAL HOME RUN CONDITIONS AT THE COLLEGE WORLD SERIES. THE WIND BLOWING OUT TO CENTER FIELD ALL DAY TODAY NORTH CAROLINA, WEST VIRGINIA THE 1:00 MATCHUP SUNSHINE OTHERWISE MID 80S THROUGHOUT THE GAME. BUT SEEING THOSE WIND GUSTS 3035MPH ALL GAME LONG STILL UP THERE 3035 MILE PER HOUR WIND GUSTS FOR THE START OF THE OKLAHOMA GEORGIA MATCHUP AT 6:00. AND EVEN AFTER THE SUN GOES DOWN, WIND WILL DIMINISH A LITTLE BIT, BUT STILL BREEZY, STILL BLOWING OUT OF THE NORTHWEST WITH GUSTS UP TO 25MPH. AND THOSE TEMPERATURES STILL IN THE MID 70S. SO WINDY DAY DOWN AT CHARLES SCHWAB FIELD. BUT A DRY DAY THIS MORNING, THOUGH, WATCHING FOR A FEW. JUST A LITTLE POP UP SHOWERS RIGHT NOW NEAR SCRIBNER HOOKER BLAIR AREA UP TOWARD WEST POINT. SO REALLY HIT OR MISS. BRIEF SHOWER OR SPRINKLE. EARLY THIS MORNING. YOU CAN SEE THE CLOUD COVER THERE. I-80 HIGHWAY 370 FROM OUR SKYCAM 75 DEGREES WARM FRONT HAS PASSED THROUGH DEW POINTS IN THE MID 60S. HAVE THAT SOUTH WIND AROUND 15MPH. SO AS THAT WARM FRONT LIFTED THROUGH, WE’VE SEEN THOSE TEMPERATURES JUMP UP INTO THE MID 70S, UPPER 60S LOW 70S NEAR DENNISON CARROLL RIGHT NOW. BUT THAT SOUTH WIND SUSTAINED 15, 20, 25MPH HERE THIS MORNING FOR THE MOST PART DRY, BUT AGAIN, CAN’T RULE OUT A SPOTTY SHOWER. BIG STORMS JUST OUTSIDE OF CARROLL MOVING UP I-35 THERE IN CENTRAL IOWA THAT SEVERE WARNED RIGHT NOW, BEST CHANCE FOR ANY STRONGER STORMS EARLY THIS MORNING. LIKELY NORTH AND EAST OF OUR VIEWING AREA. IF YOU’RE IN CARROLL, MAYBE SOME GET CLOSE, BUT REALLY, THAT CHANCE IS BEFORE 7 A.M. SO STORM PREDICTOR BY 7 A.M. MORE. THE STORM ACTIVITY IN CENTRAL IOWA CLOUDS CLEAR OUT QUICKLY. A LOT OF SUNSHINE. IT’S WINDY, WARM, MID 80S BY NOON, STILL MID 80S MOST OF THE AFTERNOON WITH THOSE STRONGER NORTHWEST WINDS. CONTINUED SUNSHINE. NOW OVERNIGHT WINDS DIMINISH A FEW CLOUDS AND CAN’T RULE OUT A POP UP SHOWER LATE TONIGHT EARLY TOMORROW MORNING, BUT MOST OF THURSDAY. LIGHTER WINDS, INCREASING SUNSHINE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. THOSE TEMPERATURES UPPER 70S AND LOW 80S. SO FANTASTIC WEATHER TO END THE WEEK. NOT ONLY THURSDAY BUT FRIDAY AS WELL.
