Sometimes we go digging through the archive and find something so random. So unique So, wow. You just have to share it. I’m Eric Jones, and this is the Archive Explained. You just saw Jason LeBlanc, who we’ve taken to calling the human drum. He uses his own body as percussion, turning it into an instrument, though undeniably entertaining. Keep telling me to do it. You know, can you do it? Can you do it? They want me to do it in the weirdest places too. It’s not exactly easy. You get bruises. *** lot of bruises, but it’s, it’s, uh, it’s worth it though. Every once in *** while we come across something completely unexpected, *** hidden gem like Jason, the human drum, and then we get to share it with the world. Jason LeBlanc loves to play the drums. But here’s one drummer who marches to *** distinctively different beat. Well, I apply what I learned on the drum kit to what I can do on my, my human body drum solo. Jason’s propensity to pound on himself began as *** child. Now after years of practice, This foot stomping, finger snapping, face slapping symphony of sorts is quite the unique talent. And quite the attraction around town. Oh, that’s it. Keep telling me to do it, you know. Can you do it? Can you do it? They, they want me to do it in the weirdest places too, uh, restaurants. Uh, one time I went to Denny’s, so I did it, and all the people looking at me. I didn’t mind though. Now, of course, Jason has to be pretty talented, but he also has got to be tough. After all, he’s beating himself up pretty good. You get bruises. *** lot of bruises, but it’s, it’s, uh, it’s worth it though. Worth it because all this flailing around, Jason says has actually made him *** better drummer. Not to mention kept his neighbors happy. It’s very hard if you’re *** drummer and you live in an apartment. You can’t play anytime you want, so this actually helps to keep practice.
