Nebraska wildfire aid deadline extended to July 31
Nebraska producers now have until July 31 to apply for wildfire recovery help through USDA.
LINCOLN, Neb. —
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service extended the deadline for wildfire recovery help in Nebraska.
Producers now have until July 31, 2026, to apply for the Emergency Environmental Quality Incentives Program, or EQIP.

The program helps repair or replace grazing infrastructure and restore or replace forage resources.
NRCS said farmers, ranchers and forest landowners affected by wildfires should contact their local USDA Service Center as soon as possible.
The agency said early start waivers may be needed in some cases.
