Caught on Camera: Thief steals $6,500 e-bike from parking lot
According to the police report, the electric bicycle was attached to a bike rack on a vehicle and cut off.
OMAHA, Neb. —
Omaha police are searching for a man who stole a bicycle that’s worth more than many cars.
According to the police report, the theft happened at Westroads Mall on May 20 in the middle of the afternoon. Luckily, it was caught on multiple surveillance cameras.

The victim says a $6,500 Trek Checkpoint SL5 e-bike was cut from his car rack at the mall. Surveillance video shows the suspect riding away on the bicycle.
We get a better look at the suspect from security cameras outside a nearby bus stop.
The stolen bike is a two-toned blue with orange or pink accents.
Footage shows the suspect loading the bike onto a bus. He’s wearing a San Diego Padres baseball cap, jeans with distinct white lettering on the rear, and possibly a wrist brace, which may indicate an injury.
