‘We want to hear their story’: Parks & Recreation seeks nominations to honor North Omaha coaches
Selected coaches will be honored at the new Levi Carter Sports Complex.
OMAHA, Neb. —
Omaha Parks & Recreation is looking for nominations to honor North Omaha youth coaches who are making a difference.
In a post on social media, the department says it’s looking for stories and photographs of coaches who have made a lasting impact on young people and their families. Parks & Rec says that could include providing mentorship or building character.

“We want to hear their story,” writes the department.
Nominations can be submitted through June. If selected by the committee, the coaches will be honored through photographs or artwork at the new Levi Carter Sports Complex, set to open in the fall.
