Omaha Streetcar Authority gives tour of new maintenance facility
OMAHA, Neb. —
We’re getting a look at the hub for Omaha’s streetcars.
The Streetcar Authority walked Omaha’s News Leader through the vehicle maintenance facility Monday.

It’s located near 8th and Riverfront Drive.
There will be three bays, where they’ll do cleaning, servicing, and maintenance to the streetcars.
“We’ll also have a place for the operators to check in. The ones that pull the streetcars out in the morning will check in here first, grab their streetcar vehicles, and head out, and the ones that are done at the end of the day pull their streetcar vehicles in and report back here in the evening,” said Eric Miller, streetcar operations manager.
The Streetcar project is expected to be complete by 2028.
