Police investigate woman’s death at Des Moines Airport

Police are investigating after a woman was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the Des Moines Airport early Wednesday morning.

Des Moines police said the woman was discovered inside the terminal around 7 a.m.

Police said CPR was initiated but was not successful.

Authorities said there are no obvious indications of any criminal action that contributed to the death.

The Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

A spokesperson for the Des Moines International Airport told KCCI that airport operations have continued as normal and there is no impact to the traveling public.
