Omaha weather: Strong to severe storms possible late Saturday
OMAHA, Neb. —
Temperatures and humidity will rise for the end of the week and weekend, along with chances for strong to severe storms late Saturday. With plenty of events going on this weekend, Omaha’s Weather Leader is here to help you plan ahead.
Saturday storm chances
Though forecast models aren’t in total agreement, there are chances for storms overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning.
As of Thursday morning, the Storm Prediction Center has placed all of eastern Nebraska, western Iowa and northwestern Missouri in a marginal risk for isolated severe activity Saturday evening and night. Any storms that develop could produce damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
