Friday Severe Storm Potential
As of Thursday morning, the Storm Prediction Center’s severe weather outlook has most of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa in a slight risk for severe activity mainly in the evening. Expect a drier morning and afternoon with storm chances increasing after 5 p.m. as a cold front approaches. Large hail and 60-plus mile per hour wind gusts would be the main threats with any stronger storms, but also can’t rule out a brief tornado.
